The main focus will be on this - as we want to show a joint organized effort that will catch the attention of the network. But if you want, feel free to send in a second creative item:
a Valentine's card, a personal picture that you drew, blue butterflies... be creative
Let's flood their offices!
Also share your efforts online so that others know that this is happening.
- share your efforts on your personal Facebook page, tweet about it, notify Fan Facebook and Twitter pages (both the show and the actors), hash tag it!
- you can add a link in the comments below showing a photograph of your letter or other item - the more pictures, the more encouragement for others to do the same!!
There seems to be a lot of support for "Emily." Maybe we ought to be trying to woo OTHER networks into picking up the show. What the heck, ti can't hurt!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great suggestion! I know that Forever Fans on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/SaveEmilyOwensMdFromCancellation) have been working hard on contacting other networks over the last couple of months and have come up short. Here's a post from them:

HAPPY New Year all! We hope you had a safe New Year Celebration :-)
EOMD was all new tonight, and by the ratings, we're calling it a hit! Unfortunately, there have been no new developments. We've contacted the vice president's of the many networks: NBC, CBS, ABC. Even cable networks, USA, TBS, TNT, SyFy, Lifetime, OWN... nothing. We're not giving up, on the contrary, we've done our research on the many shows that were almost cancelled (having announced it as well) and were saved by fans, such as: CSI:NY, Friday Night Lights, Buffy, the vampire Slayer, and Supernatural! If those can be saved, so can Emily Owens, M.D.... Don't give up, it's a New Year, and we have renewed hope that the show may continue.

OK Guys... It's time for you to start contacting networks too. We're not the only ones who want this saved. It dawned on me earlier that we're being requested to contact the networks, which we have, but we all want the show saved, so start getting to work. We have a month.

Have you tried talking with Canadian networks? i.e. Global, CTV, CityTV, CTV Two? Maybe Bravo?

I would suggest contacting them and seeing where the most potential could be - if we could target a couple of the ones that would be best to woo - everyone could send an email - make a call!
